After a couple of weeks of inactivity, since working on my thesis is quite time-consuming, I’m posting this suuuper easy recipe. It’s an apple pie with almond cream.
Here’s what you need:
– A puff pastry sheet
– Two big apples
– 110 gr of butter
– 100 gr of sugar
– 60 gr of almond meal
– 1 egg
Start by preheating the oven to 180°C. Take the pastry sheet out of the refrigerator and make the almond cream by mixing 60 grams of butter with 60 gr of almond meal and 60 grams of sugar. Add an egg and keep mixing with a whipper. Next, roll out the pastry sheet and cover it with the almond cream.
Now, peel the apples and cut them really thin. Arrange the apples on the almond cream and do this from the outside to the middle, so it looks like a flower.
Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cut the remaining butter into cubes and spread them over the pie.
Bake for 40 minutes. The cake is ready when the apples are lightly caramelized. Like I said: easy, and like you’ll taste: delicious!
Lots of love,
